Decision-Making Survey – a WSES Team Dynamics Study Group Initiative

Dear colleagues,

We hope that this message finds you all well and in good health.

We would like to thank the WSES community for participating in our Team Dynamics initiative. Your contribution was fundamental to investigating the relevance of non-technical skills, knowledge translation dynamics, and ethics in emergency and trauma surgery teams.

It is now time to go on with the Team Dynamics investigation. Findings from our first survey underlined the importance of decision-making processes in emergency and trauma surgery and all the challenges connected to it. Shared-decision making carried on with the patient, and the adoption of advanced technological tools to empower surgical decision-making are now on the agenda of the surgical community in ensuring the best possible outcomes for their patients.

The Team Dynamics steering committee would like to deepen such sensitive topics by promoting one more survey. We would like to invite you to fill in our new questionnaire, which will take no more than 15 minutes.

The survey can be found at the following link:

Like last time, we do know that your time is valuable. As partial compensation, we would like to offer the respondents the possibility to be included in a study group, which will participate in the scientific papers analyzing the survey’s results. Should you wish to join the Study Group, just answer “yes” to the first question and type your email address. You will be recontacted to get the necessary data.

We do thank you for your continuous support and contribution to our research and to our scientific society.
