The Italian Chapter of WSES was established with the objectives of training and education in the field of emergency and trauma surgery in Italy, of promoting basic and clinical research in this context, of diffusing protocols and guidelines developed by WSES. The national board has been created, involving internationally famous Italian surgeons, with daily practice in emergency and trauma. National Coordinator will be Osvaldo Chiara, chief of the Niguarda Hospital Trauma Center in Milano.
