Gastrointestinal Emergencies and Robotic Surgery Fellowship

The WSES Fellowship on Gastrointestinal Emergencies and Robotic Surgery is sponsored by the scientific board of the WSES with the aim of providing to resident surgeons a training experience in surgical gastrointestinal emergencies, trauma care, and robotic surgery.

 

The WSES fellowship is held in the Unit of General Surgery and Liver Transplantation (Director Pr D. Azoulay) of the University Hospital Henri Mondor of Créteil, France, over a 6-month period under the supervision of Dr N. de’Angelis. One fellow per period is accepted. The WSES fellowship comprises both an academic program (e.g. lectures, multidisciplinary staff) and a clinical/surgical activity.

 

Timeline

1st session: 1 November 2016 – 1 May 2017 (deadline for application: 1st October 2016)

2nd session: 1 May 2017 – 1 November 2017 (deadline for application: 1st April 2017)

 

Eligibility

WSES fellowship candidates must fulfill the following requirements for application:

  • Age < 35 years
  • Resident surgeons in general or digestive surgery
